The Wal-Mart Campaign

The Wal-Mart model is business based on sweatshop labor and a lowering of labor standards. This is what makes their low prices possible, while still maximizing their profits. Though Wal-Mart has a code of conduct for its supply factories, there are numerous cases of violations of those workers rights. Nor are Wal-Mart's wrong-doings just limited to the violation of worker and human rights; many are concerned with the environmental damage it wreaks in its production, and its cost to taxpayers. Most importantly, as the biggest company in the world, Wal-Mart sets the standards for the whole industry, affecting millions of people world-wide.

On this page, you will find information on Wal-Mart's use of sweatshop labor, its exploitation and discrimination of women and how the Wal-Mart model lowers the standards for workers all over the world. Get the latest news on Wal-Mart, information about planned events, and how you can join this struggle.

Campaign for Labor Rights is part of the growing movement against Wal-Mart and other companies that don't respect human and worker rights. Wal-Mart may be powerful, but together can we make the change.
