Join the Rapid Action Network (RAN)Be a FIRST RESPONDER for Workers in Danger!Dear Campaign for Labor Rights activists and supporters, Would you please take five minutes to share your ideas with us? Campaign for Labor Rights serves a vital role in the struggle against corporate globalization and world-wide sweatshop economy. We rely on locally-based individuals, such as yourself, along with local groups, to act in response to workers' needs internationally. CLR supports this immediate work with longer term campaigns that fight the root causes of the global sweatshop economy, such as trade agreements and IMF policies. Campaign for Labor Rights has gone through some significant changes recently, including a complete change in staff. Our new National Coordinator is Jon Hunt. He will be bringing CLR back to its mission of providing an in-depth analysis of capitalism, as well as continuing our focus on trade policy and support of workers worldwide. Now that you know who we are, we want to know who we're talking to! Please take 5 short minutes to respond to the questions below and send them back to clr@clrlabor.org. If you are involved in anti-sweatshop activism in your community, please consider joining our Rapid Action Network (RAN), which is designed to quickly help workers in need around the world! (see details below) Contact information (* is required, but please provide all information to join the RAN):
What is the RAN? It's the first responder for workers facing illegal firing or physical threats and violence. CLR's Rapid Action Network connects individuals and organizations that have the capacity to organize events – at least 6 a year – around emergencies on short notice. RAN activists commit to mobilize others to participate in urgent actions such as leafleting, phone calls to corporations and Congress, and/or media campaigns or even pickets and demonstrations. To join the RAN, please provide all the information above. |
